Fall semester begins 9/4; last day of finals 12/21. Assuming we won't have seminar on Thanksgiving Friday (11/23), the Friday before Columbus day (10/5 - I think we usually take this day off??), and the final day (12/21), that leaves 13 Fridays (assuming I'm counting right). A baker's dozen, indeed!
