Dr. Sherr Appointed Director of BU Medical Center Flow Cytometry Facility

Boston University Medical Center Provost Antman has announced that Dr. David Sherr, the Director of the MBCIF, will be appointed Director of the recently reconstituted Medical Center/Medical School Institutional Flow Cytometry Core Facility. The new Flow Cytometry Core consolidates 2 FACscans, the 6 color MoFlo Cell sorter, and, likely within the next 2 years, an 11 color (upgradable to 16 color), high throughput Becton Dickinson LSR II flow cytometer. Operational support is provided by one full time and one part time cytometer operator and two associate directors. Dr. Sherr’s position as Director of the Flow Cytometry Core insures a direct connection between the MBCIF and all of the BU Medical Center’s flow cytometry assets. ___________________________________________________________________________________

The next CIREEH meeting will by on Tuesday, 7/25 at 12pm in the Environmental Health conference room.
Patricia Hynes will be presenting results from a CIREEH funded pilot study.
